"This one took a long time to become itself. I kept adding, covering, scraping back — and somewhere in that process, the layers started speaking in a language I recognized but couldn't translate. The gold didn't come from a decision. It came from underneath, from something I had almost buried. I think about old walls sometimes — the ones that have absorbed everything: heat, voices, time. This is one of those walls. Not a surface. A record."
