"I turned the canvas tall on purpose. I needed the fall to have room. This one was painted in a single long exhale — top to bottom, following something I could no longer hold. The white isn't emptiness. It's the silence that makes falling audible. By the time I reached the bottom, I understood that descent isn't the opposite of flight. Sometimes it's the same thing."
